Solve each of the following equations by trial-and-error method: 4x=28

Given the equation is 4x=28.....(1).
Now by guessing put x=6 in (1) then we get,
4×6=2428, so x=6 is not a solution of (1).
Now put x=7 in (1) then we get,
4×7=28.
So x=7 is the correct solution.
