The correct option is D x=21 and y=17
2x+3y=9(i)
3x+4y=5(ii)
From equation (i), we get
2x=93y x=93y2(iii)
Substituting equation (iii) in equartion (ii), we get
3(93y2)+4y=5
279y+8y=10
y=2710=17
x=93×172=422=21
