eqn. 1: 8x+5y=9
eqn. 2: 3x+2y=4

=> 3(8x+5y)-8(3x+2y)=9x3-4x8
=>24x+15y-24x-16y=27-32
=> -y=-5
=> y=5
Put y=5 in eqn. 2
3x+2x5=4
=>3x+10=4
=> 3x=-6
=>x= -2
