Open in App
Solution

Given
5x+6y=13...(1)3x+4y=7...(2)

Let us use elimination method to solve the given system of equation.

Multiply equation (1) by 2 and equation (2) by 3, we get:
10x+12y=26...(3)9x+12y=21...(4)

Now subtracting equation (4) from (3)
(10x+12y)(9x+12y)=2621
1x=5
x=15

Substituting the value of x in equation (1), we get:
5(15)+6y=13
y=2

Hence, x=15 and y=2.
