Solve given pair of equations using substitution method.
$x+y-5=0,y-2x=2x$

We have given,

$x+y-5=0$

OR, $y=5-x$ .....(1)

Now in the 2nd Eq.

$y-2x=2x$

Or, $y=4x$

Applying the value of y from Eq.1 in Eq. 2 we have,

$4x=5-x$

$5x=x$

$x=1$

$\therefore y=4$
