The correct option is D $(6, 1)$
$x + y = 7$ ----- (1)
$2 x - 3 y = 9$ ----- (2)
Multiply equation (1) by
$33 x + 3 y = 21$
$2 x - 3 y = 9$

$5 x = 30$
$x = \frac{30}{5} = 6$
Put the value of $x$ in equation (1), we get
$x + y = 7$
$6 + y = 7$
$y = 76$
$y = 1$
Therefore the solution is (6, 1)
