(i) $8 x - 2 = 380$
$\Rightarrow 8 x - 2 + 2 = 380 + 2$ [Adding 2 on both sides]
$\Rightarrow 8 x = 382$
$\Rightarrow \frac{8 x}{8} = \frac{382}{8}$ [Dividing by 8 on both sides]
$\Rightarrow x = 47.75$

(ii) $\frac{a}{15} - 2 = 0$
$\Rightarrow \frac{a}{15} - 2 + 2 = 0 + 2$ [Adding 2 on both sides]
$\Rightarrow \frac{a}{15} = 2$
$\Rightarrow \frac{a}{15} \times 15 = 2 \times 15$ [Multiplying with 15 on both sides]
$\Rightarrow a = 30$
