Solve the following equations:
$\sqrt{4a+b-5x}+\sqrt{4b+a-5x}$ = $3\sqrt{a+b-2x}$

Ans: $x=a,b$

Put $a-x=p$ $and$ $b-x=q$

On squaring twice, we get $pq=0$
$\therefore p=0,q=0$ $i.e.,x=a,b$
[Note that if the operations with complex numbers are regarded as unknown, there will be only one root either a or b.]
