3x+5y=18

6x+10y=48

Open in App
Solution

Given,

3x+5y=18 .........................1)

6x+10y=48 .......................2)

Such equations can have infinite solutions

From 1)

5y = 18 -3x

y = (18-3x)/5

therefore if x=6. then y = 0
if x = 1 then y = 3

From 2)

10y = 48- 6x
y = (48-6x)/10

therefore if x = 8, then y = 0
if x = -2, then y = 6
