The correct option is D x=12,y=2
The given equations are
2(axby)+(a+4b)=0
2ax2by+a+4b=0..........(i) and
2(bx+ay)+b4a=0
2bx+2ay+b4a=0.........(ii)
Multiplying (i) by b and (ii) by a and subtracting (ii)a from (i)b, we get
y(2b2+2a2)+(4b2+4a2)=0y=2(2b2+2a2)(2b2+2a2)=2.
Substituting y=2 in (i),
2ax=ax=12.(x,y)=(12,2).
Hence option C
