Solution

Given: Perimeter =68cm and breadth =4 cm less than its length.

Let the length of the given rectangle be xcm.

Breadth of the rectangle is (x-4)cm

Now, Perimeter of rectangle =2(Length+breadth)

68=2(x+(x-4))2(2x-4)=68[Simplifyingandrearranging]4x-8=684x-8+8=68+8[Adding8tobothsides]4x=764x4=764[Dividngbothsidesby4]x=19

So, the breadth of the rectangleis

=x-4=19-4=15cm

Hence, the length and breadth of the given rectangle are 19and15 respectively.
