Solve the system:

-4x+3y=14y=2x+8

Step 1: Finding the value of x.

Given:

-4x+3y=14 ........(1)

y=2x+8 ........(2)

Now put equation 2 in equation 1 we get,

-4x+3(2x+8)=14-4x+6x+24=142x=14-242x=-10x=-5

Step 2: Finding the value of y.

Put x=-5 in y=2x+8 we get,

y=2×(-5)+8=-10+8=-2

Hence, we get x=-5 and y=-2.
