Calvin cycle involves three phases which occur in the sequence - carboxylation, reduction and regeneration. In carboxylation phase RUBP accepts CO2 and PGA is produced. In reduction phase PGA is reduced to triose phosphate and finally, in regeneration phase RuBP is regenerated.
