Solution

Intensive Property

Intensive. The units of potential are q/C, or charge/coulomb. So like how density (intensive) is a function of mass (extensive), similarly potential (intensive) is a function of charge (extensive). A better way to think about this is to consider how the potential is dependent on material properties of a battery while it’s not dependent on how much charge is stored in the electrodes.
