Five physical properties of metals are given as follows:
Malleable - Metals are highly malleable hence they can be drawn into sheets. Gold is the most malleable metal.
Ductile - Metals are highly ductile hence they can be drawn into wires. Gold is also the most ductile metal.
Solid - Metals remains as solid at room temperature as the chemical bonding present between their constituent atoms is strong. An exception is mercury which is liquid at room temperature.
Hardness - Metals are generally hard because of the strong bond present between the constituent atoms which cannot be broken easily. Exception is sodium is a soft metal and can be cut with a knife.
Lustrous - Metals are highly lustrous and when cut with a knife the cut piece appears shiny.
