To convert ethanol to ethene: Ethanol is heated at 443K in presence of sulphuric Acid.

The conversion of ethanol into ethene is a dehydration reaction because, in this reaction, a water molecule is removed by using a dehydrating agent (conc $H_{2} S O_{4}$ ).
