Question

state lenz law and how the self inductance emf is related to change of current in an inductor

Open in App
Solution

Dear student
Lenz's Law states that the induced current produced in circuit always flows in such direction that it opposes the change or the cause that produce it.
The realtion between self inductance L and change in current dI/dt :
Let the emf be E,
Then, E = -L(dI/dt)
it implies that,
L = - E/(dI/dt).
