A transfer RNA is an adaptor molecule composed of RNA, typically 76 to 90 nucleotides in length, that serves as the physical link between the mRNA and the amino acid sequence of proteins.

It has different functions like:-

1. It recognizes Aminoacyl tRNA synthetase enzyme.
   
2. Pick up specific amino acid from the cytoplasm and carry it to the region of protein synthesis.
   
3. Attaches itself to the ribosome in the sequence according to the mRNA sequence.
