Solution
Axon:
Axon which is also called nerve fibre, portion of a nerve cell (neuron) that carries nerve impulses away from the cell body or cyton.
Axon may represent over 95% of the total volume of the neuron.
Myelin (is a fatty substance ) acts as insulator for axons, helping to send their signals over long distances.
Location:
Axons are located at the specialized location on a cell body called the axon hillock.
Function:
It directs electrical impulses or action potentials away from the cell body or soma of a neuron towards another cell such as another neuron, muscle cell, etc..
