State the need for separation of mixtures.

There are various reasons for the separation of mixtures.

  • Firstly to remove a harmful or undesirable constituent from a mixture that is if you have to remove stone Hus etc from rice-wheat and pulses.
  • Secondly to obtain a useful substance for example if you have to obtain petrol from petroleum oil.
  • Thirdly obtain the pure sample of a substance so that we can use it for our required for are required purposes.
