State the various factors which influence puberty

Puberty is the process of physical changes through which a child's body matures into an adult body capable of sexual reproduction. It is initiated by hormonal signals from the brain to the gonads: the ovaries in a girl, the testes in a boy.As he rate of general body growth slows down,reproductive tissues begin to mature,this period is called puberty.

changes in girls at the time of puberty are:

1.beginning of menstrual cycle
2.thick hairs grow in different part of the body.
3.breast size begins to increase,with darkening of skin of the nipples.

In males

1. Growh of thick hair appears on face armpits, face, chest and around the pubic area. Hair also grows on the legs.
2. Testosterone secretion is started.
3. Voice changes,i.e. gets cracked.
4. Height increases rapidly for few months.

In Females

1. Secretion of oestrogen starts.
2. Start of menstrunal cycle.
3. Enlargement of Breasts.
4. Hair growth around public area and on the armpits.
