Solution

The given statement is True.

The special plastic on which oil and water do not stick is Poly-Tetra-Fluor ethylene (PTFE), commonly known as Teflon. This plastic has many practical uses in daily life as it can withstand very high temperatures. It is used to coat many utensils and non stick.
It is non-reactive, partly because of the strength of carbon–fluorine bonds, and thats why it is often used in containers and pipework for reactive and corrosive chemicals.
