Two uses of a concave mirror:

1. Shaving mirror - Concave mirror is used here since it can produce a magnified and erect image when we bring the mirror very close to our face. (Note: Object should be between focus and pole of the mirror).
2. Reflector in torch and headlights of automobiles - The bulb of the torch or headlight is placed on the focus of the concave mirror so that all the rays coming from the bulb will reflect from the mirror and a strong beam of light will be formed (parallel to the principal axis).
