Al+3 is less stable than Al.

Open in App
Solution

Electronic configuration of Al 1s2,2s22p6,3s23p1.

Thus we can say that the valency of Al is 3. It is stable in it's + 3 states as after loosing 3 valence electrons it will get the stable configuration of noble gas-

Ne 1s2,2s22p6

So, Al3+ is more stable than Al.

Hence, the given statement is false.
