  2. This is because of the corrosive nature of Nitric acid (HNO3).
  3. Since Nitric acid is a strong acid it can destroy and can corrode material other than glass like cork and rubber of the apparatus.
  4. Hence due to the highly corrosive nature of Nitric acid is the reason for the use of glass made apparatus in the Nitric acid preparation.
