All human beings have common ancestry. Humans and chimpanzees have a common ancestor. The diagram given below clearly shows that orangutans, gorillas, chimpanzees and humans have evolved from a common ancestor. Thus, it not true that humans have evolved from chimpanzees or gorillas.
