The correct option is C Both statement 1 and statement 2 are true.
In series combination,
If  A1=A2, l1=l2
keq=2k1k2k1+k2
Since, k1=k2, we get equivalent thermal conductivity =k.
In parallel combination, if l1=l2 we get
keq=k1A1+k2A2A1+A2
Since, A1=A2 and k1=k2=k, we get keq=k
