Statement 1 (S1): Atomicity of an ozone molecule is 3.
Statement 2 (S2): Atomicity is calculated only for the molecules of elements.

Solution

Atomicity is defined as the total number of atoms in a molecule.
It can be calculated for both molecules of elements and molecules of compounds.
Example- Ozone (O3) is a molecule of element. Since, it has 3 oxygen atoms in it, its atomicity is 3.

Moreover, water (H2O) is a molecule of compound. Since, it has 2 hydrogen and 1 oxygen atom in it, its atomicity is 3.

Therefore, S1 is true but S2 is false.
