You might have seen dust, sand particles, wrappers and many other light weight things with a high speed wind.
We know that high speed winds blow off the air from the area they pass. Also, the air molecules of high speed wind get less time for collision, hence less molecules collide and the pressure is reduced.
Due to this reduced pressure above the ground, sand particles, dust and other light weight things are pulled up and blown away with high speed winds.
