The correct option is A 5 kg and 2 kg
We can use stones weighing 5 kg and 2 kg to weigh 3 kg of firewood.

Let us place 3 kg of firewood on the left pan of the balance and the stone that weighs 5 kg on the right. The balance tips to the right pan.

To balance the pans, we add the stone weighing 2 kg to the left pan as $3 kg + 2 kg = 5 kg .$
