The stage shown in the diagram is telophase as the the mitotic spindle disappears, the two sets of daughter chromosomes reach opposite poles and the nuclear envelope reforms. The stage that comes before telophase is anaphase.
Anaphase- The centromeres separate, and one of each pair of sister chromatids migrates to each end of the spindle as the microtubules that form the mitotic spindle contract.
Hence, the stage that comes before the stage shown in the diagram is Anaphase.
