Solution

The correct option is C A and F
A biome is a large community that includes vegetation and wildlife adapted to specific climate conditions. Deserts and tundra regions are examples of biomes.

Deserts are characterised by very little rainfall (less than 50 centimeters per year) and temperatures that vary greatly between day and night. It is extremely hot during the day and very cold at night. Examples of organisms include plants like cactus and animals like camels. In the given graph A represents the desert biome.

Tundra biomes are characterised by less than 25 centimeters of precipitation annually and extremely cold temperatures (-34 to -6 degree celsius). Examples of organisms include plants like grasses and animals like reindeers. In the given graph F represents the tundra biome.

Tropical rainforests are characterised by over 200 cm of rainfall per year and they are very warm with an average daily temperature of 28°C. The temperature never drops below 20°C and rarely exceeds 35°C. Examples of organisms include trees like teak and animals like lions, tigers etc. In the given graph, C represents tropical rain forests.

Temperate forest : The climate of a temperate forest is highly variable depending on the location of the forest. The average temperature in temperate forests is 10°C. Summers are mild, and average about 21°C. The climate of temperate forests is wet. These biomes are second in rainfall after rainforests. They average 30 to 60 inches of precipitation a year in the form of rain and snow. Organisms include plants like maple, oak and animals like raccoons, opossums, porcupines etc. In the given graph, D represents tropical rain forests.

Grassland biomes consist of large open areas of grass. Low rainfall, wildland fires, and grazing by animals (deer, giraffe) are three factors that maintain grasslands. The average temperatures are about -20°C to 30°C. Trees can be present, but they are infrequent. Examples of animals include lions, wolves etc. In the given graph, B represents tropical rain forests.

Coniferous forests consist mostly of conifers, which are trees that grow needles instead of leaves and cones instead of flowers. The average winter temperature is -40°C to 20°C, while the average summer temperature is 10°C. Examples of animals in this biome include porcupines, deer, squirrels etc. In the given graph E represents the desert biome.

After entering the names of different biomes in the image, the below given image will be obtained.
