Solution

The correct option is B

x + 5

(- 5x + 8) – (-4x + 6) = - 5x + 8 + 4x – 6

= - 5x + 4x + 8 - 6

= - x + 2

Now add 2x + 3 to the result - x + 2

We get : - x + 2 + 2x + 3 = x + 5
