In the given reaction the carboxylic carbon is reduced to the aldehydic group and the double bond remain unaffected.
Thus, here DIBAl-H (Di-isobutyl aluminium hydride) is used as a reducing agent which only attacks carbonyl carbon and the double bond remain unaffected.
