Poultry birds may suffer from a number of diseases. Some of the preventive measures of poultry bird diseases are:
(a) Diseases like ranikhet, fowl pox, fowl cholera etc. can be prevented by providing vaccination to birds for specific diseases.
(b) Avian leucosin, infectious coryza etc. can be prevented by improving the sanitary and hygienic conditions of the poultry house.
(c) Rickets and Nutritional roup can be prevented by providing balanced nutritive feed to the birds.
(d) Regular spraying of insecticides and wormicides in poultry house and on bird's dropping can prevent insect and parasite infections.
