cost of $\frac{1}{2}m$ = Rs $220$

then cost of $1m=2$(Rs220)=Rs$440$

Cost of the sari $=x$(Rs440)=Rs$440x$

But given that the cost of sari $=$Rs$2640$

Implies that:

$440x$ = $2640$

Implies that

$x=\frac{2640}{440}$

$x=6$.
