Solution

Boy saves Rs 555 in 6 months

So, his saving each month is 5556= Rs 92.5

Let the income of Sushma be a

She gives 0.025part of her income to her son as a pocket money

so, the son's pocket money is 0.025a

Boy spends 0.8 part of his pocket money

so he saves 0.2part

now, 0.2×0.025a=92.5

0.005a=92.5

on dividing by 0.005 to both side

0.005a0.005=92.50.005

a=18500

hence the income of Sushma is 18500
