Open in App
Solution

Concept Used: Conductors

Body of the solution:

  1. Tap water consists of ions of dissolved salts and minerals, so, when electricity passes through the tap water it conducts.
  2. Distilled water is pure water and it is a covalent compound that contains very few ions. Due to a lack of ions, distilled water cannot conduct electricity.
