Let $x$ be the breadth of the rectangular plot.
Then its length = x + 5
Area of the rectangle = length × breadth
$\Rightarrow 750=(x+5)x$
$\Rightarrow 750=x^2+5x$
$\Rightarrow x^2+5x-750=0$

$\Rightarrow x^2+30x-25x-750=0$

$\Rightarrow x(x+30)-25(x+30)=0$

$\Rightarrow (x-25)(x+30)=0$

$\Rightarrow x=25orx=-30$

Since breadth cannot be negative, we get x = 25m

Therefore length = 25 + 5 = 30m
