Tectorial membrane is found in the inner ear of mammals. The cochlea of inner ear has two membranes, one is the basilar membrane and the other is tectorial membrane. Tectorial membrane is present between scala vestibuli and scala tympani. It is an extracellular connective tissue and covers the sensory receptor cells of inner ear.
