The male gonad is testes which produce reproductive cells and secrete hormones, to control reproductive organs which are also called as sex hormones. They start to secrete from the age of puberty or sexual maturity. The connective tissue present between the seminiferous tubules in a testis contains small clusters of endocrine cells called interstitial cells or Leydig cells. These cells secrete various male sex hormone called testosterone.
