The correct option is A 20
According to Euclid's axioms,
  • Things that are double of the same things are equal to one another.
i.e, If x = y, then 2x=2y
2x=2y=2×8=16

According to Euclid's axioms,
  • Things that are halves of the same things are equal to one another.
i.e, If x = y, then x2=y2
x2=y2=82=4

So, 2x+x2=16+4=20
