Solution

The correct option is B 20
Total number of cupcakes for sale = 24

Fraction of cupcakes sold on Day 1 =
24

Number of cupcakes sold on Day 1
= 24×24

=24×24

=484

= 12

Sid sold 12 cupcakes on Day 1.

Fraction of cupcakes sold on Day 2 =
13

Number of cupcakes sold on Day 2
= 24×13

=24×13

=243

= 8

Sid sold 8 cupcakes on Day 2.

∴ Total number of cupcakes sold in all = 12 + 8 = 20

Hence, Sid sold 20 cupcakes in all.
