The correct option is D 12 ft

From the graph, we can see that both points B and C have same y-coordinate.

So, the distance between the points will be the difference of their x-coordinates.

Co-ordinates of the point B = (8,4)
Co-ordinates of point C = (4,4)

∴ Distance between points B and C is
=(84) cm=4 cm

The scale is given as: 1 cm = 3 ft

So, the actual length BC is = (4×3)ft
=12 ft
