Then,
$L H S = x \times y = 7 \times \frac{1}{2} = \frac{7}{2}$
$R H S = y \times x = \frac{1}{2} \times 7 = \frac{7}{2}$

$∴ L H S = R H S \Rightarrow x \times y = y \times x$
