Hump
The camel uses fat as nourishment when food is scarce. The hump is not used for water storage; instead, it is used for storing fat. If a camel uses all the fat inside the hump, the hump will droop. With proper food and rest, the hump will return to its normal size and shape. This is a desert adaptation of camel.
