The correct option is B 4 m/s2
Given : a1=5 m/s2 a2=20 m/s2
Force acting on the individual masses and the combined mass F=50 N
Mass of object 1 m1=Fa1=505=10 kg
Mass of object 2 m2=Fa2=5020=2.5 kg
Thus combined mass of the objects M=10+2.5=12.5 kg
Acceleration of the combined mass a=FM=5012.5=4 m/s2
