Explanation for correct answer: option(A)

  1. Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity
  2. for the first part of the graph, magnitude of the acceleration is increasing so, the rate of changing velocity also increases with time which is possible in upward parabola.
  3. For the second part, of magnitude of acceleration decreases but still there is positive acceleration so, velocity continue to increase but rate of increasing velocity decrease which is possible in downward parabola.
  4. According to above observation we can say that plot given in option D is correct answer.

Hence, option D is the correct answer
