Question
The adjacent angles are in ratio 5 : 3 and form a linear pair , find the value of the angles .
Open in App
Solution
Let first angle = 5x
and second angle = 3x
we know, sum of two adjacent angles =180°
so,
5x + 3x = 180°
8
x = 180°
x = 22.5°
so, first angle = 5x = 5×22.5 =112.5°
second angle = 3x =3 x 22.5 = 67.5°
