The adjacent sides of a parallelogram are 10 m and 8 m. If the distance between the longer sides is 4 m, find the distance between the shorter sides.

Area of the parallelogram = base × height
=10×4=40sq.m
Now the shorter side =8m
Area of the parallelogram =8×h
40=8h
h=408=5m
the distance between shorter side is 5m
